UK supplier negotiation for mid-market businesses · £10m+ addressable spend ideal Discuss eligibility
How we work

From supplier data to terms that actually stick.

The largest supplier invoice is not necessarily the best negotiation opportunity. We start by finding which terms can change, how equivalent offers should be compared and who inside your business can approve an agreement. Only then does a savings figure mean anything.

Discuss your supplier expenditure ↗

01 / Define the mandate

We establish the scope, addressable annual spend, categories, contractual constraints and decision-makers. The client retains supplier-appointment and contract-signing authority.

02 / Establish the baseline

We examine existing rates, usage, scope, credits, service levels and expiry dates. Baselines and savings definitions are agreed in advance with finance.

03 / Benchmark credible alternatives

Where appropriate, we research the market, obtain comparable quotations and evaluate counterparties against operational requirements. We don't recommend a cheaper vendor simply because its headline number is lower.

04 / Negotiate within an agreed brief

We approach incumbents and/or alternatives with an approved commercial mandate. Key changes, conditions and risks are documented for decision-makers.

05 / Validate and hand over

After an approved change is implemented, we reconcile the eligible saving against the baseline, document relevant costs and request client finance confirmation before fee settlement.

EXAMPLE SCENARIO — NOT A CLIENT CASE STUDY

A real-world decision to test

Example mandate: a supplier proposes an 8% renewal increase. We do not call all 8% an avoided saving. Finance agrees what price and volume baseline is appropriate; the negotiation is then evaluated on the actual comparable outcome.

What you would receive

A documented mandate, baseline, supplier comparison, approved negotiating position, client decision record and post-implementation evidence.

Good starting point

CFOs, commercial directors and purchasing leaders.

Probably not the right fit

You want us to approach strategic suppliers before your internal relationship owner has approved a mandate.

Questions worth asking

Do you need sensitive contracts at first contact?

No. We begin with a high-level qualification discussion. Detailed supplier documents are shared only through an agreed secure process when necessary.

Who approves the baseline and supplier approaches?

The client's finance and operational decision-makers. We agree the commercial mandate before any supplier contact and record the method used to verify implemented reductions.

The next step

Shall we see if there's a genuine opportunity?

Tell us broadly what your business spends with suppliers, where the contracts sit and when decisions can be made. We don't need confidential agreements in the enquiry form.
